Fans of League 2 club Wycombe Wanderers won’t find out the identity of their proposed new owners until next week.
The Chairboys have been owned by the supporters’ group since June 2012, when the trust completed its purchase from Steve Hayes at at a time when the club was losing £1.6 million a year.
The League 2 club have improved this figure slightly however decreased attendances and lower corporate income keep the financial security of the club in a precarious position.
Wycombe’s new owner will remain anonymous until the annual general meeting on February 26th as part of the non-disclosure agreement but the WST will remain in control of the stadium Adams Park and all memorabilla.
The deal will go ahead once 75% of the WST vote in favour of the deal.
Sources close to the club suggest a fans’ favourite would be returning to Adams Park in an advisory role. Rumoured to be former boss John Gorman.
